Alexander Lepeshinski

Head Coach

Is an internationally recognized saber coach with extensive expertise in technical, tactical, and theoretical aspects of fencing. He holds a postgraduate degree in Fencing Training, focusing on all three weapons, and has achieved consistent elite-level success with both men’s and women’s fencers over three decades.

DIANA HOYOS RUIZ

Saber Coach

Ms. Hoyos Ruiz began to train as a coach in 2012, and received certification from the Italian Fencing Federation, and Colombian Fencing Federation in Saber technique in July, 2012. In November, 2013 Ms. Hoyos Ruiz received a certification from the Royal Spanish Federation of Fencing as a second level trainer in Madrid; and The International Olympic Committee certified Ms. Hoyos Ruiz’s participation in the technical course for coaches in Fencing in Bogota, Colombia in April, 2014.

IRINA LEPESHINSKI

Youth coach & manager

Irina Lepeshinski was born and raised in Belarus, where she earned her Master’s Degree in Physical Education from the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Belarus. Throughout her career, Irina has dedicated herself to the role of a physical education teacher, amassing extensive experience working with athletes of various age groups, with a primary focus on physical development in group settings.

What Are the benefits of Fencing?

The sport of Fencing is an elegant, unique and fun sport that has life-long benefits. Fencing is suitable for all ages and is excellent for developing physical and mental skills that can be applied in everyday life. Fencing allows children to reach and realize their full potential in sport, school and social settings. Is Fencing SAFE?

While Fencing requires use of a metal crafted weapon (There are 3 types of weapons in fencing: Foil, Epee and Saber), the sport of Fencing is an exceptionally safe sport. Fencers, in comparison to other Olympic Sports, suffer less injuries than athletes participating in other sports: “In relation to the number of registered athletes, the risk of incurring an injury was highest in soccer, taekwondo, hockey, handball, weightlifting, and boxing (all ≥15% of the athletes) and lowest for sailing, canoeing/kayaking, rowing, synchronized swimming, diving, fencing, and swimming”. – The American Journal of Sports Medicine . ALLE FENCING CLUB specializes in Saber.

What should I wear?

Males: T-shirt, sport pants (no shorts), comfortable tennis shoes.
Females: T-shirt, sports or yoga pants, comfortable tennis shoes.

What equipment do I need?

ALLE FENCING CLUB provides all necessary equipment to participate in the beginner program classes. Students that participate in competitive Fencing require to have their own fencing gear and equipment (including those form the beginner programs).
—Mask.
—2 working sabers.
—Jacket.
—Underarm protector.
—Chest protector (mandatory for girls).
—Lamé.(Electric Jacket)
—Fencing pants (Knickers).
—Glove.
—Fencing shoes or comfortable sneakers.
—Long socks (must reach knees).
—2 working body cords.

—Fencing equipment bag.
